Canarsie is a primarily residential neighborhood located in the southeastern portion of Brooklyn, New York City. It is situated within several distinct boundaries: Fresh Creek Basin, East 108th Street, and Louisiana Avenue define its eastern edge, while Linden Boulevard borders it to the north and Ralph Avenue to the west.
The neighborhood is bounded by Paerdegat Basin to the southwest and Jamaica Bay to the south. It shares borders with several surrounding communities, including East Flatbush to the west, Flatlands and Bergen Beach to the southwest, Starrett City to the east, East New York to the northeast, and Brownsville to the north.
