Brighton Beach is a neighborhood located in the southern portion of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It is situated within the greater Coney Island area along the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean.
The neighborhood is geographically bounded by several distinct landmarks: Coney Island proper at Ocean Parkway to the west, Manhattan Beach at Corbin Place to the east, and Sheepshead Bay at the Belt Parkway to the north. To the south, it borders the Atlantic Ocean along its beach and boardwalk.
