Virginia City is a historic town located in Storey County, Nevada, in the United States. It was established in 1859 following the discovery of the Comstock Lode, which represented one of the first major silver deposits found in the country.

The settlement rapidly developed into a significant mining center in the American West. During its peak in the mid-1870s, Virginia City had an estimated population of 25,000 residents and functioned as a primary hub for mining finance, engineering, and innovation.
