Pioche

Pioche is an unincorporated town located in Lincoln County, Nevada, in the United States. It serves as the county seat of Lincoln County and is situated approximately 180 miles (290 km) northeast of Las Vegas. The town was named after François Louis Alfred Pioche, a land speculator and financier from France who was based in San Francisco.

The primary transportation route to the area is U.S. Route 93, which bypasses the town center to the east. Direct access to Pioche is provided by Nevada State Route 321 and Nevada State Route 322. According to the 2010 census, the population of the town was 1,002.
