Yanceyville is the county seat of Caswell County, located in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, United States. According to the 2020 census, the town had a population of 1,937 residents.
The town was originally established in 1791 under the name Caswell Court House. It was renamed Yanceyville in 1833 to honor Bartlett Yancey, who was a prominent U.S. congressman and an advocate for public education.
