Roanoke Rapids is a city located in Halifax County, North Carolina, in the United States. It serves as the largest community within Halifax County and functions as the principal city of the Roanoke Rapids Micropolitan Statistical Area.
The city is also an anchor city of the Rocky Mount-Wilson-Roanoke Rapids Census Selected City Area (CSA), which had a total population of 297,726 as of 2018. According to the 2020 census, the population of Roanoke Rapids was 15,229.
