Fuquay-Varina is a town located in southern Wake County, North Carolina, in the United States. It is situated south of Holly Springs and southwest of Garner. The hyphenated name of the municipality reflects its history as two distinct settlements, Fuquay Springs and Varina, which merged in 1963 to form the modern town.
The town's economy was originally rooted in agriculture and the tobacco trade. In recent years, it has experienced significant population growth and real estate development, largely attributed to its proximity to Research Triangle Park. As of the 2020 census, the population was 34,152, with an estimated population of 48,536 as of July 2025.
