Glendive is a city located in eastern Montana, United States. It serves as the county seat of Dawson County and is situated geographically between the Yellowstone River and the Badlands.
The city was established by the Northern Pacific Railway during the construction of its railroad line. Today, Glendive functions as an agricultural and ranching hub for the region and is home to Dawson Community College. Makoshika State Park is located just east of the city.
