Southaven

Southaven is a city located in DeSoto County, Mississippi, in the United States. It serves as a principal city within the Greater Memphis area and is characterized by its proximity to Tennessee. The name of the city originates from its geographic location south of Whitehaven, which is a neighborhood in Memphis.

As of 2024 estimates, Southaven has a population of approximately 57,493, making it the third-most populous city in Mississippi and the largest suburb of Memphis by population. It surpassed Bartlett, Tennessee, to hold this distinction. The city is traversed north to south by the I-55/I-69 freeway.
