New Augusta is a town located in Perry County, Mississippi, within the United States. It serves as the official county seat for Perry County and is situated approximately two miles south of "Old" Augusta, which previously held the status of county seat until 1906.
The town is part of the Hattiesburg, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the 2020 census, New Augusta had a population of 554 residents.
