South Saint Paul

South St. Paul is a city located in Dakota County, Minnesota, in the United States. It is situated immediately south and southeast of St. Paul and lies east of West St. Paul. According to the 2020 census, the city had a population of 20,759 residents.

The area historically served as a major location for meat-packing operations. During the early twentieth century, many residents moved to the city to work in these plants; consequently, a large portion of the current population is descended from immigrants of Southern and Eastern European heritage.
