Ypsilanti, commonly referred to as Ypsi, is a city and college town situated on the Huron River in Washtenaw County, Michigan, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 20,648 residents.
The city is geographically bounded by Superior Charter Township to the north and Ypsilanti Charter Township to the west, south, and east. It is part of several larger regional designations, including the Ann Arbor–Ypsilanti metropolitan area, the Huron River Valley, and the Detroit–Warren–Ann Arbor combined statistical area.
