Waterford is a city located in County Waterford in the south-east of Ireland. Situated within the province of Munster, the city is positioned at the head of Waterford Harbour.
It holds the distinction of being the oldest city in the Republic of Ireland and ranks as its fifth most populous city. As of the 2022 census, the population of the city and its suburbs was 60,079, making it the ninth most populous settlement on the island of Ireland.
