East Lansing is a city located in the U.S. state of Michigan. Most of the city's territory lies within Ingham County, while a small portion extends north into Clinton County. It is situated immediately east of Lansing, which serves as the state capital.
The city has a 2026 population of 49,435. East Lansing and Lansing together form part of the Lansing–East Lansing metropolitan area.
