Oxon Hill is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) located in southern Prince George's County, Maryland, in the United States. It serves as a suburb of Washington, situated southeast of the downtown district and east of Alexandria, Virginia.
The area gained significant development following the 2008 opening of the National Harbor, a 300-acre development on the shore of the Potomac River. Since this project opened, Oxon Hill has been recognized as its own census-designated place.
