La Plata is the capital city of the Buenos Aires province in Argentina. It is situated approximately 9 kilometers inland from the southern shore of the Río de la Plata estuary.
According to the 2022 census, the population of the Partido is 772,618, while its metropolitan area, known as Greater La Plata, has a total of 938,287 inhabitants.
