Roslindale

Roslindale is a primarily residential neighborhood located in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. It is bordered by the neighborhoods of Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, West Roxbury, and Mattapan. Historically, the area was known as the "garden suburb" of Boston.

The neighborhood is served by various public transportation options, including several MBTA bus lines, an MBTA Commuter Rail line, and the nearby MBTA Orange Line in Jamaica Plain. Notable local infrastructure includes a branch of the Boston Public Library and a Boston Fire Department station on Canterbury Street housing Ladder 16, Engine 53, and District Chief 12.

Public safety services for the area are provided by Boston Police District E-5 in West Roxbury and Boston EMS Ambulance 17. Additionally, the portion of the Arnold Arboretum located south of Bussey Street is situated within Roslindale boundaries.
