Bossier City is a city located in Bossier Parish, Louisiana, in the United States. Situated on the eastern bank of the Red River, it maintains close economic and social ties with its sister city, Shreveport, which lies directly across the river on the western bank.
As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 62,701. It serves as the second-most populous city within the Shreveport–Bossier City metropolitan area. The local parish also hosts its own educational institution, Bossier Parish Community College.
