Paducah is a city located in the Upland South region of the Southeastern United States. It serves as the county seat of McCracken County, Kentucky, and is situated at the confluence of the Tennessee and Ohio rivers. The city is positioned approximately halfway between St. Louis, Missouri, to the northwest and Nashville, Tennessee, to the southeast.
As the most populous city in the Jackson Purchase region, Paducah had a population of 27,137 according to the 2020 census. The city features a historic district spanning twenty blocks of its downtown area, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
