Lexington is a consolidated city located in the state of Kentucky, United States. It is coterminous with Fayette County, which it serves as the county seat.
As of the 2020 census, Lexington had a population of 322,570. This makes it the second-most populous city in Kentucky, the 14th-most populous city in the Southeast, and the 59th-most populous city in the United States. By area, it ranks as the 33rd-largest city in the country.
