West Chicago is a city located in DuPage County, Illinois, in the United States. According to the 2020 census, the city had a population of 25,614 residents.
The city was originally established around the first junction of railroad lines in Illinois and was initially known as Junction. It was later renamed Turner after John Bice Turner, who served as the president of the Galena and Chicago Union Railroad (G&CU) in 1855. Today, the area continues to be served by the Union Pacific West Metra service via the West Chicago station.
