Romeoville is a village situated in Will County, Illinois, within the United States. It is located approximately 26 miles southwest of Chicago on the Gateway Wetlands, positioned directly west of the Des Plaines River and Historic U.S. Route 66. The village sits between Bolingbrook and Joliet, near the intersection of Interstate 55 and Interstate 355.
Originally established as a small river port, Romeoville underwent a period of rapid growth during the 1990s and 2000s. According to the 2020 census, the village has a population of 39,863 residents.
