Mount Greenwood is one of the 77 community areas in Chicago, Illinois. Designated as the 74th numbered area, it is situated approximately 14 miles (23 km) southwest of the Loop.
The neighborhood is bordered by Beverly and Morgan Park to the east, the suburb of Evergreen Park to the north, and the suburb of Oak Lawn to the west. To its south, it is bounded by the suburbs of Merrionette Park and Alsip. Mount Greenwood is notably recognized as a residential area for many Chicago police officers, firefighters, and union workers.
