Mount Carmel

Mount Carmel, also known as Mount Mar Elias in Arabic, is a coastal mountain range located in northern Israel. The range extends from the Mediterranean Sea toward the southeast.

The area is designated as a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Several towns are situated within the range, most notably Haifa, which serves as Israel's third-largest city and is positioned on the northern and western slopes of the mountains.
