Lake Zurich, also known as Zürichsee, is a lake located in Switzerland. It extends southeast of the city of Zurich and serves as a significant geographic feature of the region.
Depending on the context, the name may refer to the entire body of water or specifically to the section downstream of the Seedamm causeway and Hurden peninsula. In instances where only the lower section is being referenced, the upstream portion is identified as Obersee, while the lower part is sometimes referred to as the Lower Lake.
