Chicago Lawn is one of the 77 community areas located on the southwest side of Chicago, Illinois. Situated approximately 13 km (8.1 mi) southwest of the Loop, it is bordered by Gage Park, West Englewood, Ashburn, and West Lawn.
The neighborhood is geographically defined by the CSX and Norfolk Southern Railway tracks to the east, Central Park Avenue to the west, 59th Street to the north, and the Belt Railway of Chicago to the south. Local residents frequently refer to the area as "Marquette Park," a name derived from the park located in its center.
