Urbandale is a city located in Polk and Dallas counties in the state of Iowa, United States. It was officially incorporated on April 16, 1917, and originally developed as a streetcar suburb of Des Moines.
As of the 2020 census, Urbandale had a population of 45,580 people. The city is ranked as the 12th largest city in Iowa and is situated within the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area.
