Council Bluffs

Council Bluffs is a city located in the state of Iowa, United States. It serves as the county seat of Pottawattamie County, with a small portion of its territory extending into Mills County. The city is situated on the east bank of the Missouri River, positioned directly across from Omaha, Nebraska.

As of the 2020 census, Council Bluffs had a population of 62,799, ranking it as the tenth-most populous city in Iowa and the largest city in Southwest Iowa. It is also recognized as a principal city within the Omaha–Council Bluffs metropolitan area.
