Makakilo, also known as Makakilo City, is a census-designated place and residential area located in the ʻEwa District on the island of Oʻahu. It is situated within the City & County of Honolulu in the United States.
The name Makakilo is derived from the Hawaiian words "maka kilo," which translates to "observing eyes." As of the 2020 census, the population of the area was recorded at 19,877 residents.
