Kahului is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place located in Maui County within the state of Hawaii, United States. It serves as a significant hub for the region, hosting the county's main airport, a deep-draft harbor, light industrial areas, and various commercial shopping centers.
As of the 2020 census, Kahului had a population of 28,219. The community is part of the Kahului-Wailuku-Lahaina Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses the entirety of Maui County, including the nearby town of Wailuku and the West Maui town of Lahaina.
