Mableton is a city located in Cobb County, Georgia, in the United States. Prior to its formal incorporation, the area was classified as a census-designated place with a recorded population of 40,834 according to the 2020 census.
The community officially incorporated following a referendum approved by voters of the unincorporated area on November 8, 2022. Following incorporation, six council members were elected on March 21, 2023, and Michael Owens was elected as the city's mayor in the 2023 mayoral election.
