Hinesville is a city located in the state of Georgia within the United States. Situated on the Atlantic coastal plain, it serves as the county seat of Liberty County. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the city had a population of 34,891.
The city is the principal urban center of the Hinesville metropolitan area. This metropolitan region encompasses all of Liberty County, including the Fort Stewart army installation, as well as neighboring Long County.
