Cuthbert

Cuthbert was an early Northumbrian church saint who lived within the Celtic tradition. He served in various religious roles, including monk, bishop, and hermit, and is primarily associated with the monasteries of Lindisfarne and Melrose in the Kingdom of Northumbria, which encompasses parts of modern-day north-eastern England and south-eastern Scotland.

He is regarded as the patron saint of Northumbria and became a popular medieval figure. His religious cult centered on his tomb located at Durham Cathedral. The feast days for Cuthbert are observed on March 20 and September 4.
