Vero Beach is a city located in the state of Florida, United States. It serves as the county seat of Indian River County and is situated along the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon on Florida's Treasure Coast. The city is positioned approximately 85 miles southeast of Orlando and about 65 miles north of West Palm Beach at the northern end of the South Florida region.
Known by the nickname "The Hibiscus City," Vero Beach has adopted the mottos "The Gateway to the Tropics" and "Where the Tropics Begin." According to the 2020 census, the city had a population of 16,354 residents.
