Temple Terrace is a city located in northeastern Hillsborough County, Florida, in the United States. Situated adjacent to Tampa, it is part of the Tampa Bay area, also known as the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 26,690, making it the third and smallest incorporated municipality in Hillsborough County following Tampa and Plant City.
Incorporated in 1925, Temple Terrace was originally planned as one of the first Mediterranean-Revival golf course communities in the United States. The city is characterized by its rolling landscape, sand live oak trees, and views of the bucolic Hillsborough River. It currently holds the designation of a Tree City USA.
