Palm Springs is a desert resort city located in Riverside County, California, within the Coachella Valley of the Colorado Desert in the United States. It covers approximately 94 square miles (240 km2), making it the largest city in Riverside County by land area.
The city features multiple plots arranged in a checkerboard pattern. More than 10% of its territory is part of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians reservation, which serves as the administrative capital for the most populated reservation in California.
