New Smyrna Beach is a city located in Volusia County on the central east coast of Florida, United States. It sits along the Atlantic Ocean and features a downtown section situated on the west side of the Indian River and the Indian River Lagoon system.
The city is accessible via the Coronado Beach Bridge, which crosses the Intracoastal Waterway just south of Ponce de Leon Inlet to connect the mainland with the beach on the coastal barrier island. As of 2023 census estimates, the population of New Smyrna Beach is approximately 32,655.
