Miami Gardens is a city located in north-central Miami-Dade County, Florida, within the United States. It serves as a suburb of Miami and is situated approximately 16 miles (26 km) north of downtown Miami. The city's boundaries extend from I-95 and Northeast 2nd Avenue on the east to Northwest 47th and Northwest 57th Avenues on the west, stretching from the Broward County line in the north to 151st Street in the south.
The name of the city originated from Florida State Road 860, a major roadway passing through the area also known as Miami Gardens Drive. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 111,640 residents.
