Hialeah is a city located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, within the United States. Incorporated in 1925, it is situated west-northwest of Miami in the South Florida region. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 223,109, making it the sixth-largest city in the state of Florida.
The city serves as the second-largest municipality by population in Miami-Dade County. Notably, Hialeah is one of only a few locations in the county—alongside Homestead, Miami Beach, Surfside, Bal Harbour, Sunny Isles Beach, and Golden Beach—that maintains its own street grid numbered separately from the rest of the county.
