Coconut Grove, colloquially known as "The Grove," is a neighborhood located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood in the city of Miami. The area is situated south of Brickell and The Roads, east of Coral Gables, and is bounded by North Prospect Drive to the south, LeJeune Road to the west, South Dixie Highway and Rickenbacker Causeway to the north, and Biscayne Bay to the east.
The neighborhood's name has historically been spelled as "Cocoanut Grove," but the official spelling of "Coconut Grove" was established upon its incorporation in 1919. It remains a prominent residential and commercial area within the Miami metropolitan region.
