Cape Coral is a city located in Lee County, Florida, United States, situated along the Gulf of Mexico. Founded in 1957, it serves as the largest and principal city within the Cape Coral-Fort Myers Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 194,016, representing a 26% increase from the 2010 census figures.

Covering an area of 120 square miles (310 km²), Cape Coral is the largest city between Tampa and Miami in both population and land area. The city is notably characterized by its extensive network of navigable waterways, which exceeds 400 miles (640 km) in length, making it more than any other city on earth.
