North Stamford is an affluent residential section located in the city of Stamford, Connecticut, in the United States. Situated north of the Merritt Parkway, it is characterized by its hilly and woody landscape. It serves as the least densely populated area within the city and maintains the highest median household income, which exceeded $250,000 in 2021.
The neighborhood is bordered by Pound Ridge, New York, to the north; the "back country" of Greenwich, Connecticut, to the west; and the Town of New Canaan, Connecticut, to the east. The two primary roadways serving the area are High Ridge Road and Long Ridge Road. According to the 2010 census, North Stamford had a population of 14,904, while the total population of the City of Stamford was 135,470.
