Wheat Ridge is a home rule municipality located in Jefferson County, Colorado, in the United States. It is situated immediately west of Denver and serves as part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The city's municipal center is positioned approximately 5 miles (8 km) west-northwest of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. As of the 2020 Census, Wheat Ridge had a recorded population of 32,398 residents.
