Longmont is a home rule city situated in the state of Colorado, United States. It is geographically positioned within both Boulder and Weld counties, located northeast of the county seat of Boulder.
The city was named in honor of Longs Peak, a prominent mountain that remains clearly visible from the area. As of the 2020 U.S. census, Longmont had a recorded population of 98,885 residents.
