Leadville is a statutory city located in Lake County, Colorado, in the United States. It serves as the county seat and is the most populous community within the county. As of the 2020 United States census, the city had a population of 2,633 residents.
Situated at an elevation of 10,119 feet (3,084 m), Leadville holds the distinction of being the highest incorporated city in the United States. The municipality is surrounded by Mount Elbert and Mount Massive, which are the two tallest peaks in the state of Colorado.
