Arvada is a home rule city located in the state of Colorado, United States. It spans two counties, with the vast majority of its population residing in Jefferson County and a smaller portion in Adams County. As of the 2020 United States census, the city had a total population of 124,402, making it the seventh most populous city in Colorado.
The city is situated within the Front Range Urban Corridor and is part of the Denver-Aurora-Centennial, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. A notable local landmark is the Olde Town Arvada historic district, which is located approximately 7 miles northwest of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver.
