Yreka

Yreka is a city located in California, United States, serving as the county seat of Siskiyou County. It is situated near the Shasta River, approximately 22 miles south of the state border with Oregon. The city covers an area of about 10 square miles, the majority of which consists of land.

As of the 2020 census, Yreka had a population of 7,807, representing a slight increase from the 7,765 residents recorded in 2010. The city is home to several notable institutions, including the College of the Siskiyous, the Siskiyou County Museum, and the Klamath National Forest Interpretive Museum.
