West Sacramento is a city located in Yolo County, California, in the United States. It is geographically separated from the city of Sacramento by the Sacramento River, which serves as the boundary between the two counties.
The city has experienced population growth over the last decade, rising from 48,744 in the 2010 census to 53,915 in 2020. Historically, West Sacramento served as the traditional industrial center of the region beginning during the California gold rush era.
Today, the city maintains a diverse economy and is recognized as one of the top four employment centers in the surrounding area.
