East Los Angeles, also known as East L.A., is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in Los Angeles County, California, in the United States. It serves as a statistical area for the U.S. Census Bureau and is bordered by Monterey Park to the northeast, the City of Los Angeles to the north, west, and south, Commerce to the south, and Montebello to the southeast.
The community is intersected by California State Route 60 and Interstate 710. According to data from the 2020 census, East Los Angeles has a population of 118,786, which represents a 6.1% decrease from its 2010 population of 126,496.
