Benicia

Benicia is a city located in Solano County, California, situated on the north bank of the Carquinez Strait within the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. It is positioned just east of Vallejo and sits directly across the strait from Martinez.

The city served as the capital of California for nearly thirteen months between 1853 and 1854. According to the 2020 United States census, Benicia had a population of 27,131 residents.
